Section 1: League
Fees.
A Match Fee Balance will appear
in your Personal Fixtures Page where
your £3.00 match fee will be deducted after every match played.
Void fixture fees are also deducted.
By clicking your
name on the League Table, you will be directed to your Fixtures Page.
Players are required to pay a £3.00 match fee for every League fixture and share the table hire cost with their opponent.
Players should keep themselves
aware of their "Match Fee Balance" before playing their next fixture.
Section 2: General Rules.
As this is a Monday League, all League Fixtures are arranged for a Monday. Players named first on the Fixtures page have "Home"
advantage and table choice.
A 4.00pm
Deadline is set for postponing fixtures on Match Days. "Both" players are advised
to postpone any fixture they know they will "NOT" be available to play on
any particular Monday.
Monday Fixtures Should Be Postponed If Your
Planning On Playing On Another Day. This
Postponement Should Reach The League Organizer Before The 4.00pm Deadline. If you've not Postponed then Your Monday Fixture
Is In Play and will be "Void" at Midnight each Monday.
"Both" players are responsible for their fixture and making sure it is on for that week. "Both" players should find out in advance if their fixture can be played and if not, "Both" are responsible for the "Postponing" of the fixture before the 4.00pm cut-off period on Match Days. If your opponent has not been in contact with you, then you should get in contact with him/her or postpone the fixture yourself.
The League Organizer is not responsible for remembering any players of their fixture play-by date that is due to expire.
By Postponing your fixture, you will be given 28 days to arrange an alternative fixture date. "Both" players should make an effort to get this back-game played. If the "Play-By" date expires, the match would be "Void" with no points for "Both" players. "Both" player's match fees would still apply. If "Both" players are not at fault for this fixture being made "Void", then players should produce proof of attempted fixture arrangements. This can be a screenshot off of our WhatsApp Forum. The League Organizer would deal with this issue where a Judgment would be made on the outcome.
Players who have a Holiday
planned should know their leaving date well in advance. These players should
arrange to play these Holiday fixtures before they go. The Postponing of League Fixtures are now limited
to a maximum of 3 League Fixtures.
When the Play-By Date arrives,
players cannot simply elect their opponent to "take the points".
A one-week extension to Play-By dates will only be considered for "Valid" reasons. Not having enough time to complete the fixture is NOT a Valid reason. The reason for the extension will be considered on a case by case basis by the League Organizer.
If Both players "fail" to
complete their match once it has been started (unless an emergency has been
called) due to any disagreement or any other issue, the match would be "Void". League Fee's Would Still
Apply.
Players must play their fixture for the current week before proceeding to play any back-games.
Once a Match has
finished and the result sent in, this fixture is complete and can't be
replayed for any reason.
League Matches
consist of 3-frames. 1-point per frame won.
Players Tied.
Players who find themselves tied
on Points will find their final position firstly decided on Frames For,
Frames Against and then finally the "head to head" results. If this does not split players,
the best of 3 frames will need played to decide final positions.
The Highest Break Prize will be
capped at £100.00
for the highest break. £1.00 per Break Point scored up to £100. One highest break prize is available. Players will share the
prize if more than one high break exists.
During match play, you are the
referee. You should call out the break as it occurs, replacing colours as
they are potted and when the break has completed, update the scoreboard. The
scoreboard should be checked by each player after the latest score has been
added to both players agreement. The ref’s decision is final.
Players who leave the league before its completion will have their previous played fixtures marked as "Void". Points will be removed from players who have already played these fixtures with match fee's being refunded to the players affected. Future fixtures will be marked "Free Week" with no points available. Any "High Breaks" made by the player leaving the league during these previous played fixtures will be "Void".
There is no miss rule in this
league.
Section 3: Player Penalties.
The maximum amount of Postponed
Matches any player can be responsible for at any one time is limited to 3
Matches. Players going over this will give
their opponent from their First Postponed match a 3-0 win. Match Fees would
still apply.
The maximum start any player can
give or receive is 70.
Any query regarding points scored
during a frame or points added to the wrong score will be a void frame
unless players can come to an agreement on how to continue on with the frame.
Otherwise, this
frame should be re-racked.
Having your own “private”
set of snooker balls does not entitle you to compete in DSL
competitions with them. You should get the approval of your
opponent.
During your match, please respect the other players playing their matches around you by keeping the noise level down to a minimum.
Snooker can be a very frustrating
game as we all know but shouting out aloud is not acceptable. When you have
completed your fixture, leave the snooker room quietly.
Handicaps:
Players will have a handicap given to them by the League Organizer depending on their playing ability.
Players are responsible for
knowing and playing off their correct handicap. Playing off an incorrect
handicap will "invalidate" the match and it will need to be replayed.
Handicaps will automatically change after every 2 played League matches (6 frames). This is based on your frame wins and losses.
Handicaps are 0.5 points per
frame.
Handicaps are given to players in
good faith and in the spirit that they will be used by a player to mark
improvements in their own game and allow them to compete on an equal basis
with better competitors – not to gain an unfair advantage.
Final Note:
If you are not playing a match
then you should not be in the snooker room. Please don't disturb players
while the match is in progress. If asked to leave the snooker room by any
player, please do so quietly. If you have permission to watch a match in
progress, do not disturb the players.
