1. Scope

This Privacy Policy is effective from the 1st August 2018 and sets out your rights under the new laws.
Dumfries Singles Snooker League has the responsibility to protect and respect your privacy and look after your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use your personal data, and how we store your personal data securely.

2. How the Law Protects You

Data protection laws state that we can only process personal data if we have a valid reason to do so. The reasons we process your personal data include, but are not limited to, your consent, registration for the league, contact information for cup competitions etc, for billing purposes and to contact you with related matters.

3. How Do We Collect Personal Data from You?

We receive information about you when you register for a Snooker League, Cup Competitions and Membership.
We never collect any Financial Data from you. The information we collect includes, but is not limited to:
3.1 Full name
3.2 Home And Mobile Telephone Numbers
3.3 Address Details
3.4 Date of Birth (where relevant for age restricted competitions)
3.5 E-Mail Addresses

4. How Do We Use Your Data?

We use your personal information in the following ways:
4.1 To register you for Snooker League
4.2 To register you for Snooker Competitions
4.3 To provide billing for Registration, Cup entries etc.
4.4 To contact you when applicable with information relating to the Dumfries Snooker League
4.5 To provide contact numbers for other members to contact you for organisation of matches

5. Retention Periods

We can keep your personal data until the current league season expires or when you ask for it to be deleted.

6. Who Has Access to Your Personal Data?

Your personal data is only used by Members of Dumfries Snooker League and published on our dedicated webpage.

7. Your Rights

In preventing the use or processing of your personal data, it may delay or prevent us from accepting your Registration for Snooker League and Cup Competitions and other related information. You have the right to object to our use of your personal data or ask us to delete, remove or stop using your data if there is no need for us to keep it. This is known as your right to be forgotten. There are membership reasons why we will need to keep your data, but please do inform us if you think we are retaining or using your personal data incorrectly. You can view, edit or delete your personal data by requesting this from the League Organiser.

8. Accessing and Updating Your Data

You have the right to access the information we hold about you. Please email your requests to dumfriesssl@yahoo.com so that we can obtain this information for you.

9. Where We Store your Personal Data

All information you provide to us is stored on a secured computer, held by Dumfries Snooker League, within the UK. We also back-up your data to a secure League Management platform (Independent Stand Alone Hard drive). By providing your data to us, you agree to these storage conditions.
